Most of you will know, but for those who don’t I’ll be spending next academic year studying in another country.
I’m consumed with nervous excitement, with thoughts of planes and countries I have never visited before. I have always had the travel bug, but now more than ever I will get to live the dream.
I wrote about how much of a positive experience I had whilst studying in Spain, and I’m really looking forward to reliving the feeling of landing somewhere new and knowing I have so much to take in. I don’t quite know where I’m going to end up just yet, it’s looking like it will probably be Spain or Colombia, however wherever it is I know it will be amazing.
The application to study abroad is proving pretty challenging due to some accessibility issues, most university students will not find this a surprise. However I’m getting there, and some time within the next two weeks I’ll have sent it off. Then all I have to do is wait to see where I’m placed.
I’ve still got to wrap up the first semester this month with an exam and an essay submition, after which I’ll have a hectic second semester. I’ll be taking five modules between February and May so it’s going to be a lot of work, but so worth it in the end.
I’m also heading back to LA in April to visit my boyfriend so that is really exciting. We don’t get to spend as much time together as we’d like. It does make every moment we have really incredible though and I’ve learnt to appreciate how important time is.
