I love being contacted to review books and I try to review everything I read and post all of my reviews over on my Goodreads profile. I curate reviews for this blog, posting my favourites or books that stood out to me. I prioritise ARCs and other books provided by authors and publishers for review here.
You can either contact me via email or fill in the form on this page, though please read my review policy before sending me a message.
What I will read
I read across genres, including:
- Fantasy,
- Contemporary,
- Science fiction,
- Romance,
- Historical,
- Memoir.
I do not accept review copies for horror fiction as I am too scared to read it. I also do not review non-fiction (with the exception of memoirs), though you may notice me reading such books over on Goodreads if they catch my interest.
If I haven’t mentioned your genre there’s still a good chance I will read it. Please send me an email so we can chat about the book.
Other events
Whilst I do not accept paid reviews on this blog, I will collaborate with authors and publishers for events such as book tours, giveaways, and cover reveals. I’m particularly interested in making cover reveals accessible to blind readers who typically miss out on these and I welcome contact from authors and publishers who want to make this possible.
Where do I review?
I review books on this blog, on Goodreads and on Twitter. I may also consider providing video reviews of books on my YouTube channel.
What information do I need?
In your email, please include the following:
- The nature of your request, E.G. book review or cover reveal.
- The title of the book/event.
- The genre of the book.
- Release date.
- Publisher.
- A synopsis.
Book formats
I only review books in the following formats:
- Audio (variety of formats)
- ePub
- Accessible PDF
- Mobi
- Braille, either hard copy or BRF.
I do not review paperbacks or hardbacks. I am blind, so neither of these formats are accessible to me.
I reply to all emails regarding book reviews, even if it’s a no. Saying no doesn’t mean that your book is bad. At some points in the year I find that I am too busy to take on any further review copies, and I would rather see them go to someone who will be able to read and review them for you.
