First I want to say a huge thank you for an incredible Readathon. Everyone who is involved with making it happen puts in so much effort, to get the main blog ready, to make sure there are prizes, to encourage people to cheer…the list goes on and on. I had such a fun time and I am really looking forward to the next one.
I survived it! I took a nap for an hour and that was it! Yes, I had breaks from reading, where I talked or got some food, but I completed a solid 12 hours of reading at the start, then read several smaller things towards the end. I am so, so happy with my progress.
I’m going to go to bed, but as soon as I wake up I will be emailing the winners of my mini challenge. I really hope you love the prizes and I just want to thank you all for visiting my blog and participating.
The book blogging community is a wonderful place. My blog is very small in comparison to others that have huge followings, but during events like this people are so welcoming and are there to talk to you when you need encouragement, regardless of if they had ever heard of you before. Thanks to everyone who tweeted me, commented on this blog and shared it with their followers, I appreciate it more than I can say.
Please, all of you have a wonderful year of reading. I honestly believe that books have the power to change lives, and I hope by reviewing and passing on recommendations I can help someone find a book that touches them. Thank you for being part of my day.
I completed the following books:
- Harmonic Feedback by Tara Kelly
- Shut Out by Kody Keplinger
- Secrets and Lies by Kody Keplinger
- The Light in the Wound by Christine Brae
- Speak by Laurie Halse Anderson
- Across the Wall by Garth Nix
- Bloodstream by Tess Gerritsen
- Lila Shortcuts by Sarah Alderson
By using goodreads and my excellent maths skills, I have calculated that I read approximately 2256 pages.
